How do I take care of my Kapaḍā London garment?

Our garments are made with 100% cotton and due to the natural nature of this fibre we strongly recommend hand washing separately, inside out, in cold water.

We also recommend drying out of direct sunlight as the natural dye colours will fade (and get even better in our opinion) over time. When ironing, do please iron inside out to further maintain the colour as much as possible.

(Other instructions include but are not limited to: Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not dry clean).

For the pieces which come in our beautiful Indigo Blue, please read the following:

Indigo is a blue dye obtained from plants of the Indigofera family and is obtained via generations-old techniques. The intensity of the blue depends on the number of times the fabric is dipped into the dye vat and to obtain such a gorgeous blue as we have, we strongly recommend a thorough wash before use (especially on a hot day!) to remove excess dye. Please wash separately to anything else, in cold water.

Why does the print look a little different to online?

All Kapaḍā London pieces have been hand block printed and are made using natural fabrication and dyes. This technique, as with any process done by the human hand, means each piece might have subtle differences to the one pictured on site. We celebrate these minor differences as they prove the love and skill which has been poured into the journey of making your Kapaḍā London piece. Who wouldn’t want something that is as unique as them!

What size am I?

Please refer to our sizing guide for more detailed info but essentially, our pieces come in XS-XXL and are designed to be an oversized, comfortable fit. If you are still unsure on sizing, we recommend sizing down.
